His pencil-stained fingers moved nimbly over the sketch pad as he focused on every details of the picture he was trying to capture. Brows drawn. Eyes darting over at the site before him and then back on his prized pad. Alec could really get consumed when he drew that he was totally oblivious to his immediate surroundings. A bad habit, that much he knew. But it wasn't like he could really help it. He gets really lost in his own world on this one.
This was only escape, even when he was younger. Whenever everything was turning to be too much for him, he would grab his pad and pencils and would just disappear. He would hide down at their basement where his father rarely go and just spend the rest of the day there. Even during a school day. He had a downright tough life and nobody really knew it. At least the people he knew now. His past was an entirely different story.

Crissy was doing her own thing as she usually did. Her skateboard glided under feet as she sped on the small sidewalks threw the large park. Her gorgeous blonde hair was pulled up into a loose ponytail. She had a tight light blue tee-shirt on that hugged her curves to much of her dislike. She was actually wearing a pair of tight hip huggers, which was quite out of the ordinary for her. She was usually seen in a very baggy pair of jeans that belonged to her twin brother, Craig. Her white vans shown brightly on the bright pink grip tape of her board.
Even though it was in the middle of October, Crissy didn't bother wearing a sweatshirt. She probably should though. With the huge party coming up, she couldn't risk getting sick. She ollied up onto a bench and paused just long enough to fix her top. She looked down and realized that she landed on a bench that was quite occupied. She covered her mouth with her delicate fingers and jumped off quickly. "I'm so sorry," she mumbled as she grabbed her board from the spot next to the guy. She smiled sweetly as she looked at him.

Alec was shook back to reality. Quite literally. Blinking, he lifted up his gaze to find a girl trying to use the bench he was on to do her trick. From the looks of it, she totally oblivious to the fact that the poor bench was rather occupied. He didn't mind really. Not at all.
"I'm so sorry,"
He pursed his lip as he shook his head. "It's okay. Don't worry about it. It's not like my name is written on this bench or anything."
He offered her a small smile. Well she definitely didn't look like a skater girl. She moved like one though. Or rather he assumed that she moved like one. He wasn't actually paying attention when she did her trick now was he?

Her delicate eyebrows raised slightly as he spoke to her. It was likely that most people would have bitched at her major, but he was quite different. She searched his face with her gorgeous blue eyes, slyly. The tip of her tongue ran across her bottom lip as she thought. I could have totally ran over his foot and he probably wouldn't have noticed. She held back a giggle and smiled down at him.
"I really should watch where I'm going. I just get so into skating, nothing else really matters.... Anyway, I'm sorry I bothered you." Her eyes jotted down toward his sketchbook quickly. "I'll, uhm, let you get back to drawing, yeah?" A soft blush came over her cheeks as she kicked her skateboard up and caught it in her hand simply. He looked so engrossed in his work, she felt rather bad for interupting him. She knew how she felt when people interupted her while she was dancing. It was just rude, is how she thought of it.

Alec never really thought of the disruption as bothering him. In truth, it was kind of a wake up call so to speak. He gets so lost in his own sometimes while he was sketching that it makes him unaware of his surrounding. It wasn’t a good thing. Even he had to admit that.
"I'll, uhm, let you get back to drawing, yeah?"
Following her line of sight, Alec huffed and shook his head. He closed his pad before letting his gaze drift back to her. “It’s okay. I needed a break anyway. And trust me, you’re not bothering me.”
She really wasn’t. If she did he would have said something rude right about now. To sort of seal the deal, Alec offered her a genuine smile.

Crissy nodded her head nervously as she rubbed the back of her neck slowly. She did feel rather bad. She watched him close his book and she licked her lips. The last time she almost hit someone, they were drawing as well. She's drawn to them, what could she say?
Her pretty blues eyes met his and she smiled. "As long as I'm not bothering you, I'm good to go." She switched her skateboard to her other hand as she held out her now vacant hand. "Uhm, I'm Crissy Reed. Just so you know. Incase I almost hit you again." She smirked gingerly and smiled.

"Uhm, I'm Crissy Reed. Just so you know. Incase I almost hit you again."
The introduction caused him to chuckle softly. He lifted up his hand, leaned forward grab hold of her extended one and gave it a good firm shake.
“Alec Hawthorne. And I’ll keep that name in mind. At least now I know who to stalk in case you almost hit me again.”
A small half smirk upturned the corner of his mouth as he pulled his hand back and leaned back on the bench once again.
“That was a cool move. You been skating long?”
He didn’t know much about skating, hell he didn’t even know how so he figured to at least start up a conversation about it. They couldn’t just stay there and stare at each other now could they? Nah. That would be seriously boring. And the last this he wanted was to bore someone to death.
