{Imagine Knowing Me}
Personality:
Everybody who knows Alec would say that he's totally easy to hang out with, well at least the Alec that they got to know now. It wasn't that long ago that he was this guy who was totally broken. Not that he'd really tell anyone his past. He has wisely put up this wall around him that no one can get through. He only allows people to see what he wants them to see. Alec the very friendly and laidback kind of guy.
Alec can be quite the geek only if he allowed himself to be, but this was something he opted to hold back on. Being the center of attention was not his cup of tea, so instead of showing what he could really do, he chose to keep himself in the background. Although his mother had encouraged him countless of times not to be afraid to excel, he just thought it would wiser if he didn't. It was something that his mother understood nevertheless.
When it comes to his friends, he's the clown. Sometimes he comes off as someone who can't be serious. But anyone who really knows him can attest that he is far from that. He can be totally serious if he wants to, or if the situation calls it. He has the habit of being moderately sarcastic to downright rude, specially to people who rubs him the wrong way, no pun intended of course. Can be quite flirty if he wants to be but he knows his limitation. Having a serious relationship with someone was not included in his list of priorities right now.
Any Secrets?: Alec finished his highschool in a correction center and he's an abused teen and an addict when he was younger.
Physical Appearance:
Alec has a height of 6'1". He has a medium built athletic physique which he maintains with regular weightlifting and playing a bit of basketball. He has sandy blonde hair which he got from his father and a hazel-green eyes which he got from his mother. As far as clothes are concerned, he goes for the more comfortable get up. One would always seem him in jeans, shirts and snickers. He never really paid attention to fashion but then again he made sure he didn't look like a bum.
He has pouty lips that always sported that smug smirk of his. It has been dubbed as his trademark by those who knew him. A different smirk for a different purpose one of his friend had told him once. Whether it was to charm the ladies or mock other people or just simply annoy someone, that trademark smirk was always there. Evelyn, a "friend" of his even told him that it was his way of masking how he really felt. Maybe she was right, but then again he wasn't going to admit that right to her face. He has freckles on his nose which he refuses to acknowledge. Adorable my ass is what he would say if anyone dared to notice.
His eyes can be considered his best feature. Through his eyes you would see everything he felt and held deep down inside, if you cared to look, really look that is. Despite the walls he had built to make sure people won't really know who he was, one look into his eyes and you would know how broken he was. You would know how broken he felt. Maybe this is the reason why he has a bow-legged walk which is often mistaken as a cocky swagger. Although his walk and stance exude confidence, he was far from having it. He always presents himself with a false bravado.
Biography:
Charlie and Alessandra were young and very much inlove. They thought that everything was perfect, until of course Alessandra found out that she was pregnant. At 17 and just barely out of highschool, that was just something that shouldn't have happened. Without even putting much thought into what their future would be, Charlie and Alessandra got married.
October 18, 1988, a beautiful baby boy was born. Charlie and Alessandra named him Alexander Chase Hawthorne. He had his father's hair color and his mother's eyes. Even though life was tough for the young parents, they couldn't ask for anything more. At least that was what they thought.
They seemingly look like a happy family, but looks could be very deceiving. Alec was a typical 10 year old boy. Very active as well as bright. Then, one lazy afternoon, everything changed. He wasn't supposed to be home early but it couldn't be avoided. He always called out to his mom whenever he set foot inside their house, but that particular day, he didn't know what possessed him not to bellow out announcing his arrival. Curious as to where his mother might be, he searched the house until all that's left was his parents' bedroom. He knocked softly and pushed to open the door. What he saw changed as well as destroyed his life in an instant. His mother was crying her heart out, bruised and bloody. Everything just went downhill from there. His father had suddenly turned into this monster. He would beat his mother mercilessly. And that was something Alec didn't want.
Ever since that awful day, Alec changed. He became quiet. His grades got lower and he had the tendency to bully other students. There was a point where he got destructive, something that his father took notice. That was Alec's plan, to get his father's attention and he succeeded. Instead of beating his mom, he was the one who took the beatings. Much to his mother's protests. It was because of this that he eventually turned to drugs. Everything to numb his pain, both physically and emotionally. His mother had enough when Alec got sent to the hospital. That night, Alessandra almost lost her only son. It was the reason why she suddenly had the strength to leave her husband and check Alec into a correction center.
For four years, Alec had worked hard to heal himself. He stayed at correction center by choice because he wanted to get better for his mother. And all his hard work paid off as he graduated and had the opportunity to go to college. Up until now, Alec is trying to make sure his life was on track. He's trying hard to make a good life for him and his mother.

Lakely closed his eyes. How the hell was he going to make his father understand him? How the hell was he going to make them see that this was what he wanted. That he was determined to do what he wanted. He let out a weary sigh.
"Dad, this is what I want. It's not a dead end route. If you just trust me on this..."
"Lakely, a car mechanic. A goddamn car mechanic! Your mother and I did not work our asses off to get all of you a good education just to be rewarded with this half cooked idea of yours!"
"God dad! Why can't you just trust me on this?!"
"No Lakely. You are not going to be some dead beat car mechanic. Not if I can help it. End of discussion."
The slamming of the door reverberated through the room as Lakely was left alone inside the study. Exhaling loudly he raked his hands through his tousled hair. So much for begging. He silently told himself. Clenching his jaw, he plopped right down on the chair before moving to pick up the phone. Dialling an all too familiar number, he waited for her to answer before he spoke.
"Hey, it's me. I need to blow off some steam. Park. Be there in fifteen."
Without even waiting for an answer, he placed the phone back to its cradle before he stood up and walked out of the door. He was going to find a way. That, he was sure of.
Read the Rules?: Yep! Of course lucky duck!
