» 25 th September; Midday [[Splenders you've never dreamed of all your days will be yours]]
Elizabeth had, yet again, found herself standing in the main hall of Hastings University. In her hands she cradled a heathly amount of books for her upcoming 'class quiz' and associated assessment. She was actually looking forward to it, because, in a year from now, she would be graduating Hastings University and be free to start working. The thought of graduation brought a smile to her face as she leant against the door, wondering just what she should do.
It was raining outside, her soaked clothes and hair were proof of that. She tucked a stray hair behind her ear and placed her books on a nearly 'coffee' table so she could (try) and fix her sickeningly wet attire and hair. In a feeble attempt at making it look 'respectable' Lizzy ended up simply tying it in a pony tail, sighing as she peered down at her clothes. There really wasn't much Lizzy could do about them, minus running to her dorm and snuggling up in her doona. Again she found herself smiling at the thought, liking the concept of a nice relaxing hour or two void of any school work what so ever.
The concept in itself was rather promising, offering Liz to calm down and simply enjoy the day. Lizzy was a avid fan of the rain - minus the effect it had on her normally glossy, brown hair - she loved to act childish in it, splashing about in the puddles or simply singing in the rain and being a complete nutter. She laughed at her thoughts as more and more childhood memories flooded her mind.
Now to the task at hand, Liz started walking through the main hall, looking at the paintings and what-not that littered the walls of the hall. Her target was some form of empty classroom or the library, both places seemed rather promising.

Nathan furrowed his brows as he continued to shuffle through his Ipod. He was in serious need of updating. The songs that resided in the small contraption were, needless to say, getting old.
Free time was a rare occasion at Hastings. Or rather in college in general. And right now, he was trying to enjoy the beginnings of his so-called free time. He was supposed to have a class at this very moment but the Professor had left a note for them saying that he wasn't able to make it due to flu. Nathan could have sworn everyone was smiling. From ear to ear. An indication that life for them was hard. And it wasn't even halfway through the year yet. He was dead wrong when he thought that highschool was tough. He didn't even know where to begin describing the life that's been dubbed college.
Finally landing on a song he liked, he continued to go his merry way without even caring where he was going. Big mistake. His forward movement was halted when he collided with another body. Before he knew what or who he'd bumped into, he could hear audible thuds that resembled books, lots of them, being dropped unceremoniously on the floor.
(OOC - since they've already talked, i thought it was great to have them meet personally. hope you don't mind.)

[[We are the scientists who site the labs, just waiting for the call]]
As always, Liz was lost in her own little world, distracted by the lush paintings and silly little thoughts that plagued her mind. Of course she didn't stop to consider how great a consequence this would have for both her books and the person who would collide with her. The scene unfolded rather quickly, catching Liz by surprise. Her books were suddenly flung from her arms as she made contact with another individual. Naturally, Liz being... Liz gave a squeak of surprise which consisted of an exasperated 'AHHhhh'. She shut her eyes - a quick, desperate attempt at trying to separate herself from the reality of the collision.
Needless to say, Liz stumbled, having lost her balance shared with her books and barely managed to retrieve that ever important 'balance'. Liz was nothing but un-coordinated, she often stumbled and tripped every which way, causing her books to fly and hit random bypassers - it really didn't give her that great a reputation and rightly so.
Whipping back to reality, Liz opened her eyes and examined the face of the unfortunate individual who did cross her path. "Oh.. I'm terribly sorry" She said, biting her lip. Liz begun to pick up her books proving this time, better then any, for a little rant "I should honestly watch where I'm going - I'm so terrible! I mean, hiitting into you like that, hardly an acceptable thing to do really" She bit her lip, a forceful attempt at stopping herself from talking any longer and concentrating solely on picking up her fallen books.
[OOC: Oh its fine ;D A mighty fine idea haha!]

Holy. Crap. Nathan was slightly propelled backwards at the contact but he was able to get his balance after that. Falling flat on his ass was something he did not want to happen. Colliding blindly into someone was embarrassing enough.
"Oh.. I'm terribly sorry"
Nathan stood there for a good second or two before it registered to him that the one he bumped into was apologizing. He pulled the earphones form his ears and stuffed the contraption that caused all this inside his book bag. This was just wrong. He should be the one who should be apologizing not her.
"I should honestly watch where I'm going - I'm so terrible! I mean, hitting into you like that, hardly an acceptable thing to do really"
He shook his head as he quickly began to help her gather her books.
"No. I should be the one apologizing. I wasn't even looking. It's my stupid Ipod. I'm tellin' you it's evil."

[[Live is life rock 'n' roll without A drummer]]
Liz piled one book on top of the other and smiled at the guy. "Thanks" She said, laughing softly. "Well I did the same.. except I was listening to the music in my head" Liz grinned, shaking her head at her lameness. "Yeah they are pretty evil" Once again she laughed, tucking her hair behind her ear. "oh, sorry, I'm Lizzy, Lizzy Taylor" She smiled, extending her hand to the stranger as an act of both politeness and good will.
[sorry its a tad short ><]

Nathan couldn't help but smile at her. At least she didn't blame him for being stupid and clumsy. A bitch fit was something he did not want to handle at the moment. This was supposed to be his free time and he was supposed to enjoy it. And so far, even after what happened, he was in fact, enjoying this little conversation.
"oh, sorry, I'm Lizzy, Lizzy Taylor"
In response, Nathan took her hand and shook it firmly. The name sounded vaguely familiar.
"It's okay. I'm Nathan. Nathan Larson. Here..." he replied as he handed her the books he had gathered. Liz Taylor. Now where could have he heard that name?

[[Pictures Of You, Pictures of Me, Hung upon your wall, for the world to see]]
Liz smiled, shaking his head and thanking him when he handed her her books. She balanced them carefully and laughed "Stay" She commanded to the books, Nathan Larson The name did ring a bell. Ah! She had it, grinning Liz looked at Nathan "Oh! TossNTurn right? We talked on IM" She added the last part so she didn't appear like a stalker, because she was sure that would go down well.
Her weight shifted as she tucked the pile of books under her arm securely. "How are you?" She asked, looking up at him. It was rather coincidental that the pair 'bumped' into one another, Liz was rather happy, at least.

"Stay"
Nathan had to snort softly at that. It was a tad funny, he had to admit. Okay she was a tad funny. He hoped she knew that because it was rather a great quality for anyone to have.
"Oh! TossNTurn right? We talked on IM"
Upon hearing his screenname, Nathan knitted his brows for a second before realization finally dawned on him. Out of habit, he slapped his forehead slightly. "When cookies attack. That was why your name sounded really familiar." He smiled at her. Ugh, he really had to do something about those damned memory gaps. After all, he was too young to have those.
"How are you?"
"I'm good thanks for asking. How about you? I mean aside from the fact that I almost run you over and all..."

[[So I run, Start again]]
Liz smiled, looking up at Nathan. She was glad she could spark some sort of laughter from him as she did, love making people smile, and be happy. A grin started to form on her face as she tucked her hair behind her ear, ah now she was getting nervous. "yeah" She laughed Well I'm glad we ran into each other, I did love talking to you" she commented eagerly. Nathan was one of the nicest people Liz knew, but then again, she didn't know many people. Still it was a title to be proud of, for Liz did have a hard time making friends, not that she minded.. but sometimes, spending time lost in ones thoughts did get a little annoying!

Nathan nodded. So this was how she looked like. Huh. Did she know that she was gorgeous? Well in an Audrey Hepburn sense. And it wasn't an insult or anything like that. It was a downright compliment. Now if only he had the courage to just say it to her outloud. Ugh. This was what he did. Chicken out. On a regular basis. No wonder he hasn't had any girlfriend yet.
"Well I'm not going to keep you. Again, I'm really sorry for the flying books and all."
He offered her a genuine smile. Of course he really didn't want her to go. Not just yet. He did have fun talking with her too. She was fun to talk with. But if she had somewhere else to be then who was he to stop her?
