[[September 21st, Around noon]]
It wasn't the biggest town she'd been to, Melissa would admit. It was part of Easton's charm, though. A big reason why Mel liked it so much. Today, though, it seemed as if everyone had had the same idea as the girl and decided to come take a stroll around the town. It was kind of fun, to see all the activity on the streets. More than once while walking down this particular sidewalk, she'd gotten distracted by a scene of some sort and had almost run into someone.
Darting in and out of a couple stores, she was making a day of it. Her last trip had been to the bookstore, when she had been severely dissapointed. She had been looking for a particular book, and they hadn't had it. The best they could do was order it by the next week. That was the only downside to being in a small town. They didn't have anything and everything. Melissa was used to that, and it was strange to realize she couldn't get what she wanted when she wanted.
Suddenly, she realized her stomach was quite empty, and she wondered what sort of food places were around here. Her eyes drifted towards the McDonald's and she made a face. Fast food was something she was trying to stay away from. It was hard, though, especially since she wasn't the best cook in the world and she was no longer at home. She sighed, wondering if she should surrender to her stomach now or wait until she got back to the school.
But the school seemed so far away at this particular point in time. She resisted the urge to stamp her foot. That would have been rather childish. Well, whatever. She began to walk towards the place, deciding to just get a salad. That had to count for something, right?

The day was bright, meaning the chicks would be out. Ian strolled around the streets of Easton. Much to his liking, the girls were everywhere. His spiked blonde hair glistened under the soft glow of sunlight. The usual sexy smirk on his face was accompanied with a pair a Versace sunglasses. Needless to say, they looked gorgeous on him.
After flowing threw many crowds of flirting girls, he paused in front of the McDonald's and had a strong urge for french fries. He had such a high metabolism he could eat anything and not gain weight. However, he tried to stay away from the fast food chains. It wouldn't do anything to him, but he didn't want to risk his gorgeous body. He treasured his abs and muscular figure and would hate for something to happen to them.
Licking his lips, he took a few steps toward the building. His eyes traveled along the street and people on it. His eyes stopped on a very beautiful lass. He grinned mischievously and watched her walk toward it. Of course, being who Ian was, he fallowed shortly after her. A little bag of french fries couldn't do any harm. He glided into threw the door and up behind her. His eyebrows raised ever so slightly as he spoke, "You are looking mighty gorgeous today."

As she opened the door, the smell of grease and meat filled her nostrils. She cringed, her appetite taking a hit. The smell reminded her of all the calories that fast food had in it and was thankful that she was only getting a salad. Even if it was a chicken salad. It was better than a big juicy burger, or something. Now, Melissa wasn't exactly on a diet, since she had enough common sense to know that she wasn't fat. But, she did like to watch what she ate. Not only did fatty foods slow down the metabolism, but they also caused you to be more tired throughout the day, and the girl knew she needed all the energy she could get.
As she prepared to walk over to the counter, a male voice caught her by surprise, and she spun around to face him. At first she wasn't sure if he had been talking to her, but as she saw him, she realized that he was looking directly at her. Melissa had seen before. Around school, she was pretty sure. She's never actually talked to him. She was pretty sure he was a Senior, and she hadn't delved into conversations with many of them.
The girl wasn't sure what to make of his comment. He'd just spoken to her as if he kne her, but again, she'd never talked ot him before. She was half-tempted to laugh, figuring that he was probably joking with her. Then again, if he was joking, it was a rather cruel joke. She was a bit on the self-conscious side at times, and something like that wouldn't help. However, as she studied his expression, she realized he was smiling, but it was a different sort of smile, not the kind used when someone thought what they'd said was funny.
So, before she could stop herself, she gave a sarcastic answer. "I know. I just can't help it sometimes." she had to admit, though, it was a good comeback.

Ian's eyes traveled up and down her body slyly. He was quite glad he was wearing sunglasses. He licked his lips softly and rubbed the back of his neck with his right hand. He was quite surprised he hadn't seen her around before. Then again, he was usually with a girl so he didn't pay much attention to anyone else around.
He chuckled softy as she looked up at him. She looked like he was joking with her. Now why on earth would Ian joke about someone looking gorgeous. He was very shallow in that way. They had to be gorgeous in his mind or he wouldn't get within five feet of them. It was quite pathetic how he thought of women, they were basically just toys to him. They usually fell all over him though, and they kept coming back for more. It didn't bother him at all.
Ian's eyebrows raised at her remark. A sarcastic one now, yeah? He smirked gorgeously and replied, "It's nice to meet a girl who knows just how gorgeous she really is." He tilted his head casually, "I'm Ian by the way, Ian Roberts."

Melissa did think she had seen him with his arm draped around a girl or two. She hadn't ever paid it much attention, so she wasn't sure sure just how many different women. The school was rather big, and so, not every student in it caught her eye. Especially the seniors. She generally stayed away from them out of shyness. Some of the Seniors acted like the owned the school and the girl didn't feel like hanging out with people like that. She would much rather be around the himble people who knew they weren't all that.
She hadn't quite caught him looking her up and down, and it was a good thing. She probably would have scowled and walked away from him. She was already getting a not-so-nice vibe from him as it was. Melissa was no toy, that was for sure. She never let men play with her heart, or walk all over her. She was much more strong-willed than that. All of her previous boyfriends had been the sweet type. She liked an honest guy. Even if they were hard to find anymore.
Right now, the girl did not feel like falling all over him in the slightest. Sure, he she noticed that he was extremely attractive, but she wasn't shallow like that. Too bad for him.
She gave a smirk at his comment. "Melissa Jameson." she told him her name. "And I assume you're one of the guys who knows how he really is?" She wouldn't be surprised in the least if he answered yes to that question. In fact, she would probably just laugh.

Ian raised his eyebrows and rubbed the back of his neck. He knew exactly how gorgeous he was. And he loved every minute of it. He was a player and a big one at that. His gorgeousness often came in handy. The corner of his lips raised into a small grin. He nodded and smirked, "Why yes, I do know how gorgeous I am." He took off his sunglasses and folded them into his hand. His bright blue eyes met hers. A slight hint of seductiveness twinkled in his eyes. He licked his lips and smiled, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Melissa."
His eyes traveled around the restaurant. Surprisingly it was quite empty, which was nice. He was a very impatient person and waiting in lines was a major annoyance to him. He cocked his head up toward the cashier and grinned to Melissa. "I think it's your turn to order." He blinked softly and chuckled quietly.

Melissa wasn't one of those people who thought she was the hottest thing on earth. She had her moments where she liked the way she looked, and then she had moments where she hated the way she looked. It all depended on the day, really. And if her hair was giving her a hard time. Mostly she was able to get it to work with her, but on those days that she couldn't, she usually ended up wearing it up or something. That's where she envied men. Most of them had rather short hair and didn't have to worry too much about what it looked like. Lucky them.
As expected, he answered her in the affirmative and her smirk widened. "For some reason I'm not surprised." she laughed. Oh, he was trying so hard to be seductive. And she supposed there was something seductive about him. He gave off that bad boy vibe that most girls were immediately drawn to. Melissa had to admit that she would have found him charming if she didn't know better. He was probably bad news to be going off into a private place with.
"Thankyou. It's nice to meet you." she refrained from saying the word pleasure, not wanting to show too much interest.
She turned around and realized that he was right and the cashier was looking at her expectantly. She smiled politely at him. "Can I just get a grilled chicken salad, please?" he punched it in the machine and gave her her money back. Moving off to the side, she glanced back at Ian. "I believe it's your turn, now."
