The look on Ian's face was priceless. He chuckled as Sofia attempted to wiggle out of his strong enbrace. His lips curved into a small smirk as she leaned forward. Their forheads touched, sending a small shock down his spine. As their eyes locked, his arms loosened the grip around her waist. The tickling decreased as Ian's mind began to travel elsewhere. He had ultimately forgot that they were on the basketball court with Sofia's cute little friend standing right there.
Just before their lips touched, he left out a heavy sigh as she jumped away from him, grabbing the ball and shooting. He placed his arms on his hips and shook his head, "Lame, real lame." Ian chased after her, poking her in the stomach as she spun around.
He haulted, smirking at the frustration in the brunette's voice. "You don't have to watch." His smirk turned sarcastically. He turned back towards Sofia and licked his lips. "Your friend always a fun sucker?" He chuckled lightly.

Another round of wiggling and twisting came as Sofia moved to get away from Ian's poking digits. She grinned cheekily and smacked his hands away, "Lame, but successful. I am winning again!" The impromptu victory dance was cut short for fear of Ian grabbing her again and tickling her. That was not something Sofia wanted to continue.
Her head turned to her best friend as the real basketball player regained control of the ball. "We never decided that...um, what do we play to? Fifteen sound good?" Peripheral vision traced where Ian was moving while Sofia's face stayed turned towards Ari. "If you must vomit please try to make it to a trash can. Otherwise you will be the one cleaning up. I love you, but I won't do that for you." The lithe athelte's body now moved back towards the man who was challenging her. She moved around him, not going to score a basket but trying to keep the ball and game going.
"She isn't a fun sucker Ian." Sofia's eyes rolled at his comment. She understood where Ari was coming from as Sofia herself had been in this position before. Standing on the sideline in a place that was not that comfortable watching the bestie hit on some guy that did not match the qualifications you thought she was worthy of. It happened almost every single time Arianna thought going to the mall would be a blast. "She just has her own definitions of fun, and this isn't it." Now it was Sof's turn to smirk at her opponent in a lusty fashion, "Ari doesn't know the fun of a good one-on-one game." After making her comment she faked right and tried to get around Ian to make it to the basket again.

Ian's gorgeous eyes rolled sarcastically. Oh how funny it would be to see some preppy girly girl clean up her own vomit. He could picture her in her preppy pink attire, face scruntched, 'eww' the whole time. He stifled a laughed with a cough, hoping they would notice.
He licked his lips and ran his right hand threw his hair. "Yeah, fifteen sounds good." He didn't much care how long this game lasted honestly. He was having fun and he didn't want that to end at the moment. Not in the least bit.
He watched her dribble around him, not exactly making a move yet. He nodded, "I see. Well, she's missing out." He went to fallow her right, but found that she faked it. He sighed and spun around quickly, grabbing for her but missing. He ran after, jumping in front of her in hopes of stopping her from making another basket. He knew that she would find ways around it, but he gave it a shot anyway. He made funny faces at her in an attempt to get her attention away from the hoop.

As Sofia flew towards the basket there was a moment of realization. 'I am going to run into Ian. I am going to hit him.' It was one of those moments when you know that due to velocity and force there is no way to change your path. There is no time to backtrack, and all the brain wants you to do is tense up and prepare for impact. These thoughts hit Sofia about .67 seconds after she could have changed her course.
She knew Ian was watching Arianna and her faces. She knew Arianna was probably saying something very mean due to Sofia's vomit declaration. This impact was something only Sofia foresaw, and mentally she sighed.
"KABAM!" That was the sound impacting bodies made. Sofia saw the ball flying up from her hands as she tumbled around in a mixture of midair twists and bumps on the ground. "Oooffffff." Limbs connected with each other and body parts flailed. Sofia landed, half on something and half off, opening her eyes in time to see the ball swish through the net of the basket far over her head.
She couldn't help it, she broke out into painful laughter.

One of Ian's eyebrows rasied as he glanced around the gym. Ari was quite the girly girl, and it made him laugh. He turned his head quickly trying to get back into the game. "KABAM!" Ian felt himself land on the solid basketball court floor. He was twisted in many different possitions that he honestly shouldn't be twisted in.
He closed his eyes and scruntched his face. "That was excellent Sofia." He opened his gorgeous eyes just in time to see the ball swoosh threw the hoop. He let out a soft sigh then burst into laughter along with Sofia. That was definitely a lucky shot. He shook his head in disbelief and attempted to untangle himself from the heap of Sofia's and his own limbs.
"That date, had better be on your side of the deal." He laughed loudly.

Laughter rolled easily off her tongue as Ian joined her. It was not everyday that something as unusal and lucky as that ball going through the net happened. Noticing the untangling effort taking place, Sofia rolled backwards over her shoulder and sat up on her knees, rubbing her elbow lightly. "It is not my fault that you weren't watching the game. If anyone is to be blamed I say you and Ari share it." Her orbs twinkled playfully as she looked at him, "Besides, I made the basket."
Getting to her feet took a moment as the wind had been knocked from her. Once standing she reached out and offered a hand to Ian, who was still sitting on the floor. "Sorry though, I would have tried to stop if I had realized what was happening in time." Her head tilted slight as she considered his words and quasi-demands. This had been an interesting game thus far, starting off with pure anger from the arguement two friends had and ending in flirting and street play. It had been awhile since a game had been played for pure joy and laughter and not some competitive need and hunger. "I don't know. That wasn't in the deal, and the game isn't over. This is just an occupational hazard."

Ian shook his head as Sofia flipped herself out of the mess. He sat there, leaning back on his hands. His eyes traveled up to Sofia and he laughed, "Maybe if you weren't so fast, you could have slowed down. Nonetheless, I'll take the blame." He turned and winked at Ari.
He glanced up at Sofia's held out hand. He smirked softly, taking her hand and pulling her down on top of him. He held her tightly, poking her stomach and sides between words, "I say we end it now. You teach me to be a real basketball player and I'll take you to dinner and a movie. Yes?"
Ian paused from poking her to allow her to answer. He still continued to hold onto her tightly, just in case she decided to turn things around. His eyes twinkled hopefully, upon her. He batted his eyes and pouted his bottom lip, playfully. He was basically giving Sofia that look that made your heart melt and just agree with it.

Trapped, again, by the same person as before. Today was just not Sofia's day with this boy. She had been mad, he came, they played some, and then there was the unfortunate falling incident. She smiled as she rocked slightly as Ian held her tight. That was one of her nervous thinking habits, and she was nervously thinking right now. Her eyes swept over his face as the lawyer in her took over and she weighed pros and cons.
A soft smile lit her face as she leaned closer to his, twisting her head oh so slightly to be pressed against him to where she could talk in his ear. Voice soft, she finally spoke, "I am flattered by your offer, and this has truly been a blast. I am afraid to say you are a little much for me today, though." Still smiling she used Ian's chest for light leverage to regain her footing. Jogging to the close by wall she pulled a sticky note out and scribbled across it. "Here is my number though, let me know if you want to play again."
Having held up her technical end of the deal Sofia turned to walk towards Arianna, stopping for a moment to zip up her bag and then throw it over her shoulder.

Ari rolled her eyes and had her arms crossed over her chest as she waited for Sofia. It was no long her friend she felt angry at. Any left over malice was all aimed towards Ian. Guys like that had only one thing in mind. Her best friend did not need to associate herself with someone like that.
"Could you be any more shameless?" She teased as her friend joined her. She shot a discreet but triumphant smirk over her shoulder at Ian. Turning back to the blonde she sighed softly. "Can we talk about what happened earlier?" It was hard for Ari to bring the topic up since she wasn't exactly sure what her friend was feeling.

Ian raised one of his eyebrows. Had Sofia really just rejected him? He shrugged it off quickly and grinned, "Play again, we shall." He grabbed the note and slid it into one of his pockets. He loved it when girls gave him their numbers. He, of course, wouldn't dare give out his number, due to so many stalker-ish girls out in the world. Sofia was a different story though. He wouldn't mind just chilling with her.
His brain continued to repeat her words 'You are a little to much for me today, though.' He didn't understand what she meant in the slightest bit. His eyes fallowed Sofia and Ari as they walked away together. Today was quite an excellent today, that's for sure. He ran over to his shirt and threw it over his shoulder, grabbing his basketball on the way. He dribbled it a bit and shot another basket. He licked his lips and tucked his ball under his arm, walking quickly back to the locker rooms.

Smiling at Ari, Sofia sighed happily. "I know. It was fun though, to forget about being the good lawyer's daughter and just have fun with someone." Her head slyly tilted towards her friend, "Besides, I had to do something to make you giggle since you were so mad earlier."
As the pair of friends walked through the gym to the outside world the taller one thought carefully about how to respond. It seemed now Arianna was serious about talking about whatever was troubling her. For the somber look on her best friend's face, Sofia realized this was nothing to blow off. "Want to go back to your dorm floor to talk? We won't be bothered there."
