I. Registering
1. When you register, do it with a first and last name as the user name. No skatr_gurl_4life. Those names will be deleted.
2. Every character must have an Avatar featuring the celeb who is portraying them. The avatar needs to be 100 x 100 pixels. If you are unsure of how to do this, don't be afraid to ask. I don't bite! Signatures cannot be godawful huge. Think about the poor people with slow computers. Plus, it just looks tacky. So, no stretching the page with your graphics. If you refuse to listen to this, I will delete the image.
3. Do not go posting about until you have filled out an application and I have accepted it. Your account will be deleted if you do not comply.
II. Out of Character
1. Please try not to talk out of character in an in-character thread. NO OoC conversations in an in-character thread. The occasional sentence is fine. For example, if you are unsure of where you want to continue a thread, or just didn't understand the post before you. When talking out of character use something to show that you are, such as OoC:, [[OoC]], etc.
2. It's fun to have characters fighting about something or other, but do not bring a fight out of character. Respect your peers, people! If you are angry about it, no shouting about in the Cbox. If you feel that you are being harrassed by another member, pm me and I will deal with it. Yes, there are consequences for disobeying the rules.
III. Posting
1. This roleplay is Literate/Advanced. One liners WILL NOT be tolerated. I understand when you have writer's block, but even then you should be able to squeeze out at least two solid paragraphs. That's at least five sentences each. There are so many things to use when posting, though. Use your characters emotions, their actions, and the world around them. Tell us what they are thinking, and what they would rather be doing. Anything and everything that will make the post more enjoyable, not to mention, get a better idea of your character. Who knows, it may even help you develop said character.
2. If you spam I will be forced to bring out the paddle. You don't want me to bring out the paddle. But, seriously, don't spam. It's rude and just annoying.
3. Only advertise in the Advertising Board. If you are caught advertising anywhere else, you will be warned. If you do it again, your account will be suspended. I'm serious about this. It's annoying.
4. When you start a thread, please post the date. It doesn't have to be the exact day that it currently is. A few days either way is fine. Pay attention to what month it is in the News Area!
IV. Characters
1. Canons are always a good way to go if you don't know exactly what you want from your character. It's also a good way to be guaranteed a spot in society. Your cannon character propably knows at least one person, so it's that much easier to make friends.
2. Newbies are now allowed to register with an original, but please at least consider a cannon before you do. There are still a lot left.
3. No Mary-Sue's and Gary-Stu's. People have flaws. Get used to it.
4. As for the amount of characters you are allowed to have, you may have up to five if you think you can handle it. A person is only allowed to have as many canons and originals as can fit in the limit. If you keep creating characters, and turning around and asking me to delete them, I will restrict you to only having one character. Sorry, but it's rude to others who want to plot with your characters if you keep getting rid of them.
5. In order to even things out, at least two of your characters must be male. There are quite a few female roleplayers, and it's only fair.
V. Other
1. Okay, this website is mature. So, yes, there may be mentions of violence, sex, rape, murder, drugs, etc. Íf you can't handle it, sorry. But be smart about it. Don't go around cussing every two words. Keep it to a minimum. Though, honestly, Porboards is kinda stuck up about sex, so if you are going to go into detail about it, you will have to do so in PM. Yes, it is annoying, but oh well. The secret phrase is -lucky duck-.
2. You must be active. It's how a site stays happy. Yes, we do monitor your posting habits. We do see if you've been posting or not. You need to post at least once every two weeks. It's not too much to ask. If you don't do so, your account will be deleted. OoC posts do not count, you must post an in-character post.
3. So, now that we're done with all that serious stuff, welcome! And just have fun. That was the reason this place was made after all.
